According to playstation blog - PS3 is going to get a firmware update.

When ?

They say is going to be until mid of april.

What?

This firmware will bring Profile 2.0

Why ?

So it can add online features to Blu-Ray discs. It will add some enhancements, better DivX and WMV support (bigger than 2Gb/file), better and more multimedia-centered (music, photo, video, playlists) with PSP and improved web browsing (faster browsing, saving utility). You can use PSP as a remote to PS3 while watching BR (Blu-Ray) movies, also it has “resume play” feature. And more…
