Posted in: GSM News |

Nokia unveiled the new Nokia E72, its latest full QWERTY smartphone which brings a rich mobile email and instant messaging experience right out of the box, making it a great device for people who want to be connected, and productive in both their personal and professional lives.

Building on the formula from the hugely successful Nokia E71, this latest arrival in Nokia’s Eseries family maintains the essential elements of its predecessor, whilst still improving its capabilities in a number of areas. For the first time, owners will be able to set up instant messaging (IM) accounts provided by Nokia Messaging direct from the homescreen. In just a few steps, device owners will be able to connect to their favorite IM accounts such as Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk and Ovi amongst many others. The Nokia E72 is expected to begin shipping late in the third quarter of 2009.

Let’s talk more about the main features :
- press a key and the whole device turns into a flashlight - YAY
- 5Mp decent digital camera
- noise cancellation microphone
- 3.5mm jack (what ? no 2.5 ?)
- identical dimensions and weight with E71 which is quite weird, if you think of all the improvements
- HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity
- QuickOffice compatible with Microsoft Office 2007
- IBM Lotus Notes Traveller

The E72 will go on sale at the end of the third quarter for 350 euros.
