Nokia, Sony, Samsung, LG, Toshiba, Yellow Stone, Vishay Intertechnology, Stanley Electric, Sony Ericsson, Sony, Shinano Kenshi , Shenzhen Unilight Electronic, Sharp, Seoul, Sanyo, Rohm, Pioneer, Opto Tech , Motorola, Matsushita, Lucky Light , Lite-On, Kingbright, Hitachi , Harvatek, Guangzhou Hongli Opto-Electronic, Exceed Perseverance Electronic, Everlight Electronics Dominant Semiconductors , Bacol Optoelectonic and Avago Technologies - all of them sued for laser patent in USA.
Gertrude Neumark Rothschild a Retired Columbia University Professor sued all major companies for laser patent. And it looks like she will get all the cash if these major electronics producers still want to import their products.
The patents are - laser diodes and light emitting - which she own.
Is she going to win ? Well at the beginning of march this year she settled with Philips for the same patent violations. Also she settled with Toyoda.
One thing is for sure, Gertrude is on the way to retire with a lot of cash in her bank account.
